All athletes should bring water to practice. The start of the season is very hot and athletes will go through a lot of water. If you use disposable bottles, please make sure your athlete cleans up after themselves.
Athletes Do not wear game jerseys or cheer uniforms for practice. Game jerseys and cheer uniforms should only be worn for picture day, games, and scrimmages. Athletes wearing these items to practice or that do not have the correct equipment/gear may be required to sit out and observe practice for the day. Please see our Football page and Cheerleading page for details on what to bring to practice.
Practice Structure | Football Athletes
Week 1
All football athletes will check in by the trailers, which are located at the end of Clark St. This helps us make sure we have all the information we need for the season. This also makes sure the coaches have what they need for drafting teams.
During this week players will only need their helmets and mouth guards. This is because athletes will be running drills and getting to know the coaches prior to the draft. Drills will consist of: Running | Throwing | Catching | 40yd Dash | Shuttle Run
All practices will start out with stretching and warmups.
Week 2 and Forward
Week 2, day 1 football athletes will report to the fields just beyond the trailers to receive their team assignments and head to their assigned fields. Week 2, day 2 and forward football athletes will report to their assigned coaches and fields. All practices will start out with stretching and warmups.
Practice Structure | Cheerleading Athletes
Athletes will report to the cheer coaches starting week one. Coaches will take attendance. Practices will start out with stretching and warmups.
Cheer teams may be broken up by 3rd and 4th graders and 5th and 6th graders.
