Did you know that Rapids Raptors has a scholarship available for past athletes?
Wisconsin Rapids Youth Tackle Football began its program in 1996, and has contributed to a scholarship fund each year since that time. Rapids Raptors football players and cheerleaders learn the basic fundamentals of team sports while still emphasizing academic achievement. This scholarship is based on the philosophy that academics and athletics go hand-in-hand. The scholarship will reward students who learned not only the fundamentals of football or cheerleading in the Wisconsin Rapids Raptors program, but also developed into a well-rounded individual and understands the importance of education.
Criteria
Graduating senior of a high school in Wood County
Participated as a player or cheerleader for at least two complete seasons in the Wisconsin Rapids Youth Tackle Football or Cheerleading program
Accepted or awaiting acceptance for full-time enrollment to an accredited college, university, or technical college
Essay
500 words max
Describe how your education and athletics have formed you into the person you are today
Describe how your education and athletics may have influenced your career choice
